From her phone they hear the telltale “candidate found”.
Amidst the chaos that ensues between the group, their table tucked back in the farthest reaches of the diner, Akechi can almost feel his plan come together. It’s as if puzzle pieces fall perfectly into place at that moment. The leader of the Phantom Thieves has a palace.
He has to hide his smile underneath his hand.
It’s almost too easy at this point.
