“That’s not what I asked,” Glinda murmurs, quiet but unyielding, her thumb softly but deliberately stroking the skin beneath her cheekbone. “What is it you really want?”After 'As Long As You’re Mine', instead of a vision of Nessa, Elphaba has a devastating vision of Glinda’s breakdown mid-heartbreak and is compelled to go make things right. Canon fix-It of sorts.

Elphaba could see dark, purplish marks begin to form where the water had touched her. She bit her lip—something about the burn marks littering her arm made her stomach feel strange. And the feeling of Galinda’s fingers caressing the area softly, her tuts and sighs soft against Elphaba’s body as she twisted the arm in her grip to look at it. She shook her head, and Elphaba felt a little bad about the guilty look on her face. Definitively less bad, though, when Galinda leaned down to place a kiss on the affected areas.

Glinda’s tongue sticks to the inside of her mouth, dry and useless. What can she possibly say to her after everything that has passed between them. She readjusts her hands on the grip of the glass wand. She sees Elphaba’s focus shift towards the movement of her hands. The look in her eyes is scathing as she tells her derisively, “You can wave that wand all you want, but you have no real power.”
(...) No real power, she said. Glinda will show her power. With a sudden viscousness she brings the wand up and lashes out with the pointed end that looks like a mace. She strikes with the aim to hurt, the aim to harm.

Then the girl took a deep breath as if she was going to speak, but she just ended up shutting her eyes tight, and she waved a hand at them. “I’m sorry,” she said, setting her cup of water down while she tried to make sense of it all, “but let me get this straight.” Galinda nodded enthusiastically as Elphaba got her bearings. “*You*,” she opened her eyes and pointed at Fiyero, “want to watch *us*,” she waved the finger frantically between her and Galinda, “have *sex* with each other.” Galinda squeaked at the frankness of it, and Fiyero bit his lip.

Galinda gets an absolutely *brillaint* idea to satisfy her boyfriend: have sex with a girl in front of him !! So, of course, she asks her best friend for help. Because she wants to please her boyfriend. And no other reason... what other reason could she possibly have?
