Summary
Kaboodle recently got moved to working night shifts at the coffee shop she works at part time. It wasnt a big deal, Kyle really needed someone to pick up the night shifts due to villain activity, and Kab was apparently somehow this man's only option.
She was really prepared for boring shifts, filled with restocking and passing the time fucking around on her phone until her friend's got there to start their opening shifts.
She certainly didn't expect Clownpeirce, the city's most wanted villain, to break into her shop to hide from heros, half bleeding out.
On her very first night shift.
....Kab really needed to stop getting into these kinds of situations.

Summary
When Branzy's best friend Rek is stolen from right behind his back by Watchers, he's more than a little upset about it.
Less than a year later, he finally finds out what happened to his friend- when he is forcibly stolen from his bed and dropped into the same exact death game his friend has been trapped in for months.
He bides his time until he can make his escape, making friends, losing friends, and accidentally learning how to fall in love again.
What could go wrong?
He has nothing but time.
(Meanwhile, off screen, his sister tears her hair out over her brother's stupidity while trying to locate a missing friend of her own.)

It was Clown’s little games of Russian Roulette that he perceived as the reason. The little games where he would spontaneously jam a gun to Branzy’s temple at any given moment, sending the white-haired man spiraling in fear before pulling the trigger, only to reveal an empty chamber.
But sometimes, all the chambers were empty. Recently, Branzy had begun to wonder if Clown had even loaded the gun at all.

Approximately 26 years ago, people started growing wings. Feathered wings of every shape and size, all the way from the smallest hummingbird to the biggest condor. A blessing, maybe. Or a curse; it truly depends on which whispers you believe.
But with Avians making up 15% of the population and rising, a black market rose just as quickly.
The Passerine Trade.
Songbirds were the most sought after, melodic voices and brightly-colored wings fetching good prices on the black market.
But Raptor Avians were feared; sharp senses and even sharper talons keeping most people away from them and their families. This typically kept them off the market for traffickers—and attempts usually ended with blood.
So when he was snatched away from his father’s side, Tommy hadn’t even time to process what had happened.
Because who in their right mind takes a Harpy Eagle Chick right from their parent’s side?
