Because Viktor needs to know. Because the words have been trying to burst from his throat since the minute they woke up. “I should’ve told you before we- I mean. I should’ve said. Viktor lets out a choked gasp from where his head is buried in the crook between Jayce’s neck and shoulder. “What?”

She and Ekko were close (her Ekko, she doesn’t know about this Ekko) since they were kids, nobody had been surprised that she and Ekko had ended up together. Ekko, her Ekko had ended up saying something similar in a roundabout way; that he’d liked her since they were small.

In which the IPC just can’t seem to convince Veritas Ratio to join the Intelligentsia Guild, so they deploy Aventurine to a tiny university city-state, where he must charm the good doctor into their fold.
