Summary
In which Luthien exercises a bit too much power when verbally bitch slapping Sauron out of Tol-in-Gaurhoth. This might not be Elrond’s worst day ever, but it’s certainly less than his favorite.
OR
The House of Finwë are the middle-aged white women to Elrond’s small feral peredhel in that Finwë was not white, none of his descendants in question are women, most of them are old as dirt, and Elrond is, uh, not that small? Adoption noises ensue.

Summary
At the Haven of Sirion, Light enters the lives of the last Sons of Fëanor.
“Must it always be twins?” Maglor chokes out, and Maedhros shrugs even as a shiver runs down his spine.
“Maybe,” he begins, then has to pause to steady his voice, “maybe we get to do something right for once.”Or: Maedhros and Maglor lose everything, but gain two children.

Summary
“So we know we cannot drown it,” Edmund says, his words sticking in his throat; thirty pairs of eyes fly to him, but he refuses to be drawn away from his point. He has plenty of practice holding his own in council chambers too old for him. “We know we can’t drown it, and you say we can’t keep it – can’t use its power for our own benefit. What do we know, then? How can it be destroyed?”
“Finally,” Greyhame flings his hand Edmund’s direction, “The right questions.”
