Tim now stared at the papers in his hand with disbelieving eyes. Holy fuck, Bruce is going to kill me.
The buzzing of his phone broke through his thoughts, and for a moment, Tim considered flinging it across the room to shut it up. Then, apparently the phone had been so insistent and non-stop for the past few minutes, that Percy had begun to stir.
Good timing. As soon as Percy's eyes fluttered open, Tim shoved the marriage certificate and license in front of his face.
“Hey, remember last night?” Tim asked as he watched Percy groggily scanned over the certificate.
Tim waited patiently for the man's brain to catch up, watching him furrow his brows as he tried to read the written text over and over. Then, a good few minutes later, he dragged a hand down his face in defeat.
“I'm actually dyslexic,” Percy said, flatly. His eyes fluttered close again.
Tim wanted to shake him.
OR; Tim wasn't one for impulsive decisions, but Percy definitely was.

Himring is probably the coldest place that Maeglin has ever been.
He tries to put away that thought, and not to shiver very visibly as he glances up through his lashes at Maedhros Fëanorion. Terrible and fell, his father had always said were the sons of Fëanor, and Maeglin can believe it. Of course, his mother’s stories had been different. But they had been few and far between.
Above, Maedhros shifts forwards in his high seat with a slight rustling of heavy robes, and Maeglin trembles involuntarily. Out of the cold, he promises himself. Only the cold.
“You wish to leave Gondolin,” rasps the lord of Himring, with no small amount of incredulity in his voice. “To come here?”

They never talked about it, after the fact. Four times they met, four times they found if not comfort then companionship in each other’s arms, four times Fingolfin used his nephew and deluded himself into calling it an equal exchange. And those were only the times in which they truly coupled. There were others, brief moments stolen in dark corners, senseless rutting and stifled moans, wandering hands and whispered promises. A hundred little instances that stacked and toppled into Fingolfin’s fall from grace.
