Summary
“Wait,” Buck says, reaching into his pockets.
Ravi perks up beside him, looking over to see what he’s doing.
“Ah hah!” Buck says, pulling out… his keys?
“I don’t think your keys unlock these kinds of doors,” Ravi says, unhelpfully.
“No, no, I— when Tommy and I were together… I gave him a gift for—for our six months. It’s a long-distance key chain.”
“A what?”
“You each have one, and if you press it, it lights up the other person’s to let them know you’re thinking of them, or like, in trouble, or, you know, stuck in an elevator. It has location tracking and everything,” Buck explains.
(Or, Buck and Ravi get stuck in an elevator, talk about their lives, and hope a certain firefighter-pilot shows up to save them)

Summary
“Shoot me.” Buck tells Mr. Allen with a steady, confident voice and from the corner of his eyes, he sees the alarmed look his family sends in his direction. Even Ravi, who’s doing everything he can to stop Tommy from bleeding out on the floor of the firehouse.
“Buck–” Bobby starts but Buck barely hears his voice.
“I know what happened, Tommy told me the story. Your wife died and now you want revenge, right? Justice? Every person you think is responsible for your wife’s death, every person here that you want to hurt– I mean something to them, so kill me, not them. I'm your eye for an eye."
(or: after the 118 & the 217 lose a patient on the scene, her grieving husband wants to make them pay for not saving her and decides to get his revenge by trying to hurt people Buck loves more than anything.)

Summary
After the "incident in the kitchen" at the end of season 8, Buck has to come to terms with Eddie's growing abusive tendencies over the years, the fact that they increase in the face of Eddie's grief over Bobby's death, and the fact that the 118 is no longer Buck's home. Along the way, he figures out what he wants home and family to truly mean, with some help from Tommy, Ravi, Athena, and the Deluca family.
