He kept laughing. The man took off his mask and knelt. Tim lowered his aim at the movement, keeping it trained on the-man-he-didn’t-want-to-kill.
That was part of the game. The waiting. The tension. He had to play by the rules.
“Whatever happens, it’s not your fault. I don’t blame you. I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you.”
Tim laughed. He laughed until he cried.
Junior does not want to kill the man in front of him, but he’s holding a gun with three bullets and three blanks. He had been… told in no uncertain terms what to do by Joker, the game and the joke and the role he had to play. It didn’t matter that he did not want to play this game.
