sinnoh hasn't been known as hisui for a long, long time. and cogita and volo have both had time since to think. to learn. the occasional visits they pay each other, satellites in orbit that never dared get too close- not quite enough to address the...everything, that weighs on the both of them, metaphorical carrying pole chafing at their shoulders.
maybe it cant all be solved at once. of course, it isn't that simple. but...progress, maybe, can be made. slowly, one step at a time. maybe they need time to themselves, even if it takes centuries, to begin to move forward again.

Flint makes a group chat for the Sinnoh Pokemon League. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Flint and Aaron are chaos incarnate, Bertha (logically) chooses not to get too involved in their shenanigans, Lucian is too curious for his own good and gets caught up in the shenanigans. And Cynthia? She's a bit of a disaster. Strong and smart, yes, and absolutely willing to fistfight a god (or multiple should the situation call for it), but a disaster.
In other words, it goes wonderfully! They're having a grand old time. Surely there is nothing that is going to disturb the status quo, and surely all will continue to be peaceful in Sinnoh.
(Pay no mind to the odd uniformed trainers with teal hair and furtive glares who run around everywhere like they have somewhere to be. They're probably nothing to worry about.)

Cynthia, the seemingly invincible, perfect Sinnoh Champion, is in fact still a person with flaws. Not at battling, or at doing her job- she's great at that. She just really needs to work on the self care department.
Luckily she's got the Elite Four and her lovely grandmother to help her with that! As well as her entire Pokemon team. And hey, even when you're working perhaps the most tedious or boring job- there can be a little excitement sprinkled in there some days!
