His skin was alabaster, smooth and unyielding like marble. Once Harry met Riddle’s eyes, the shock at finding the man staring right back at him promptly sucked all the air out of the room. Riddle peered at him in appraisal, his gaze sweeping from the mess of black curls on his head to the balls of his trainers beneath the hem of his robes. Feeling like an exposed nerve under his perusal, Harry did his best to stand still for the entirety of it.
