Summary
Solarpunk anarchist AU, if that's a thing now, exploring the power vacuum left by Shinra's collapse and the early days of a political and cultural revolution through the medium of introspective character study. In the wake of Meteorfall, those who remain commit to not only rebuilding, but restructuring Gaia's social order in such a way that no similar atrocity can ever happen again - or so they hope. This was a prompt that I couldn’t get finish in time but wanted to finish for InterfaceLeader for the FFVII Exchange. The prompt was, “Reno’s first undercover mission, and he wants to impress.”
Reno is assigned his first undercover role to help prevent stolen company property and he wants to perform at his absolute best for his boss, Tseng. Throughout his experience, he learns lessons along the way and perhaps the largest lesson from the man he was trying so hard to impress.
