    Aura Golden, a scientist at Shinra, is left devastated by what the fall of the sector 7 plate took from them. Their world is thrust into further confusion when Rufus Shinra himself promotes them, and asks them on a date. They are brought into an unfamiliar and overwhelming world, standing by Rufus' side as he attempts to enact his new vision for Shinra. Thankfully, they aren't alone, with both new friends and old by their side, along with Rufus himself.

    Or: an alternate take for ff7 remake where Rufus has chosen a partner for himself. There are no major plot changes, but a whole host of OCs that flesh out my own interpretation of the ff7 world with a special focus on Rufus and what it would be like to be romantically entangled with him during the turmoil of remake/rebirth.

    While the entire fic is rated E, most chapters will sit at T, and chapters with mature or explicit content will contain appropriate content warnings in the authors notes.
