I love the way this is structured, it doesn't have a scientific explanation for how stuff happens because well it's a fluff fanfic. But it’s certainly fun to watch both of them be oblivious about each other’s identities. I also like the crossovers they don't feel out of place!

This has been my favorite fanfic for a while now, i find myself re-reading it every few days cause its just so good. Its written quite simply but in a good sense, it reminds you of those rpg animes you find on tiktok with an artificial narration and just get stuck watching it cause its so stupidly interesting. I like the dynamic they have (aka derek and avery have), and this is the first time I have enjoyed derking willingly! Just make hastur really stupid about it wonderful

Summary
The thing about time is that it's relative. If something happens in one moment it also happens in every moment throughout all of its existence.
That is to say that when a fraction of a fraction of the King slips into Avery's mind on New Year's Eve, Avery also wakes up a year prior with omnipotence, a world's worth of grief, and his best friend's real-life address burning in his head.
Along the way he picks up a baseball bat. It's a necessary provision for smashing Derek's laptop into a thousand pieces before he can so much as launch Minecraft.
