Summary
In the underground city of Pravarus, you were expected to survive, not live. Living was a privilege reserved for those born into greatness, in the building right in the middle of Pravarus. With no ways in, or out, you were either born someone or you died trying to become someone. But greatness was not something you could achieve, and while those around him longed to live, Peter was content surviving.
Peter’s life was simple, Rumi’s was not. Rumi was nothing more than a hushed whisper, a carefully placed note and a cleanly slit throat. Word spread of a dangerous beauty, equal parts elegant and fierce. Rumi was great. Rumi was a symbol. And Rumi wasn’t real. That was Elena’s greatest secret: Rumi was nothing more than a mask. A character they played, a role they slipped into with ease. Rumi was an ideal, and Rumi would save the world, no matter how much of them it cost.
So when a nobody with something to hide met Elena- not Rumi, Elena, the side of them that was never meant to be seen nor heard, Elena found themself deeply in love, and Peter found himself in greater trouble than he had ever dreamed of.

“Alright.” Dakota scooted closer. “William. Can I call you Wiwi?” William stared at him. “You’re new around here, right? I’m pretty close to everyone in our class, but I haven’t really gotten to know you.” Dakota nudged his shoulder. William continued to stare. “But’cha seem like a pretty cool kid. And Wiwi, I'm sure both of us agree that schools stupid, right?” He gave a slow nod. “See? There's so much more important stuff to do than study! Like… I dunno, going outside! Getting… fresh air!” He began to raise his voice, and a few kids looked over at them. Dakota shrank back down in his chair. “Sorry.” He chuckled. “But ‘cause I was busy doing actually important stuff yesterday I couldn't study. So, uh, would ya do me a favor and help me out a bit?”
“...You want me to help you cheat?”
“Well, I wouldn't think of it as cheating. Just helping a friend out a bit, ya know? We’re friends, right?” Dakota stared straight at William, giving him the most pitiful puppy-dog eyes he could muster. William sighed.
(Or: A Nerdy Prudes Must Die AU. Dakota, out of ideas, asks the weird kid to help him cheat. Things go downhill from there.)

Summary
Mariana's life had long since fallen into dull monotony: wake up, eat, work, eat again, sleep. Trapped in a loop of partially his own making, doomed to the worst fate of it all: A meaningless life, a set piece for others more interesting than he was. Destined to fade away into obscurity, always forgotten in favor of someone else.
Charlie had turned life around ever since two children forced themselves into it. Or, at least, he tried to, though he liked to think the less appealing parts had been swept under the rug well enough. He reconnected with his friends, his brother, and best of all, he was free. Though with freedom comes recklessness, and with recklessness comes... mistakes.
Or: Charlie is the lead singer of a shitty new rock band he started with a few friends, and he would like to think life was pretty good! He had friends, a mostly intact apartment, and a job that payed... well enough!
Though after an incident at a local coffee shop (that attracted only mild attention from the cops), he had made an enemy of one of the barista's, who he, unfortunately, could not stop running into.

Summary

Eighteen year old Ray Garraty already views the Games as a death sentence, but when a boy from his past volunteers to take the place of his younger sister he knows he's a goner for sure. Ray's a survivor, everyone says so, but what does it mean to compete in a death match when the thing you're fighting for isn't your own life?

I did it, I caved and beat-for-beat re-wrote THG with Ray and Pete. But there are still some surprises in there! As of updating this description I'm officially 2/3 of the way through the book! Hunger Games fans, you know what that means!
I would call this film characterisation combined with book lore. If you haven't read the book you'll probably just presume some characters are OCs lol. And if you haven't read The Hunger Games I (albeit briefly) explain the worldbuilding lore here, so you won't be lost.
