He needs it to be boring and stable and nothing about falling for some older guy who lives in Gwangju and lies about how good his baseball team is reeks of stability. Right? Right.

At the age of thirty-six, Tokuno Yushi feels like she has lived many lives. Like realizing she was a lesbian at five. Or moving to Korea at eighteen. Or starting her accidental influencer career at twenty-one. Or falling in love with her much younger and suspiciously puppy-like girlfriend, Daeyoung, at twenty-eight. Or coming out to her parents at thirty-four. God, yeah, there's that too.
But being one of the only out lesbian gaming influencers in the East makes her feel a little old and jaded and bitter when she's dunking on misogynists in VC and constantly being targeted by incels. Yet things are great. They're perfect, even. But there is something ugly in her belly when her chat calls Daeyoung her roommate and even after so many lives, she is still afraid and stuck in a closet made of glass.
So maybe it's about time she shatters it to pieces. So Yushi bows at Fushimi Inari and writes on her ema plaque: I want to be proud of who I am and I want everyone to see me as my true self. So she even means it.

They stumble back to their shitty apartment and get one round in before dinner, and then another after. Riku cries out Sion’s name and it is a rumbling voice that says: Look at you. My Riku. Sweet, lovely Riku. And then they watch a movie and Sion falls asleep halfway through his second beer.
They spend every day together and they’ve been doing this for years. Riku lets himself stare at Sion’s sleeping face in the low, blue light of the TV they bought together three years ago. Everything in this apartment is for them - the both of them. He and hyung as one.
Riku stares and stares. He usually doesn’t let himself look. But he does tonight.

When Riku is twenty, he kind-of-accidentally falls into a d/s friends with benefits with his best friend whom he is hopelessly in love with. He just didn’t think they’d still be doing it seven years later.

Yushi turns twenty-two in Bangkok and Daeyoung, as any reasonable person would, figured there’d be no point in going all out in celebration when they don’t even have the privacy of the dorms or the space to do anything worthwhile. He and Yushi can squeeze in time to sneak off together when they get back to Korea, maybe eating at a nice restaurant or going to that one bowling alley they have the habit of frequenting.
But then, when Daeyoung says all of this to Ryo the day before his hyung’s birthday, there’s a smirk that comes over their maknae’s face and his voice goes all low and haughty like it only does when he’s daring Daeyoung to talk back.
“What? You’re not doing anything special for your boyfriend’s birthday?” Ryo’s overjoyed grin is almost scary. “Do you really think Yushi hyung would appreciate that?”
So, yeah. He ends up making a cake in Sion and Riku's hotel room microwave. It's a whole Thing.
