Bakugou Katsuki likes to fight.
Well– he likes to win, actually. But a win is only worth a damn when you have to fight for it, and there’s only one person in this stupid class who actually can put up a fight against Katsuki. That’s why the guy makes a halfway decent sparring partner – Icyhot’s strong. Icyhot’s powerful. He makes every damn thing look effortless, but when Katsuki’s his opponent, he has to actually try for once.
So then– what the hell is he supposed to do when the half and half bastard stops trying?
Or: Bakugou and Todoroki have an arrangement to spar after school for stress relief. But when Todoroki starts looking and acting strangely, Bakugou starts to pay a little closer attention.

The way Todoroki’s gaze was fixed on him made Katsuki feel like he was prey — like he had been cornered by a wild predator who had been hunting him for hours. And now, all that was left to decide was how to land the fatal blow.
Katsuki felt his heartbeat pick up in his chest and goosebumps spread all over his skin when Todoroki started sprinting straight at him, right towards where he was innocently slouching on the couch.
“The fuck is wrong with you, Icy-Ho — UNGHHHH”
He barely felt the impact.
His mind was too busy playing catch up. His eyes slowly trailed downwards, and he found himself being pinned to the soft sofa-cushions by a heavily panting Todoroki.

Shouto takes the chance to practice his best head-empty blink. “We were just talking,” he says. “He’s being nice.”
Bakugou scoffs. Deliberately, he lets a hand settle on Shouto’s waist, tugs him close. “Nice,” he repeats. “Yeah, right.”
The stranger looks somewhat uncertain. “Oh,” he says. “I didn’t think you were—,”
“I’m not,” Shouto interrupts. He glances at Bakugou, raises an eyebrow. “Not as far as I know.”
Bakugou looks a little bit like a kicked puppy, right then. A scowling, spiky, kind of cuddly still, kicked puppy. “Shou,” he says. “C’mon, sweetheart.”

And—oh.
