“What’s the plural for a group of Steves?” asks Natasha, and it’s weirdly comforting that the question has a hint of whimsical hysteria to it. Good, Bucky’s not the only one who’s not dealing well with all of this.
“A clusterfuck,” he says. “A clusterfuck of Steves.”
Despite how little sense his life has made since he got on a battlefield to fight a bunch of aliens, Bucky's pretty sure he knows exactly what's happened when a much older Steve appears after the mission to return the Infinity Stones: he left Bucky behind to get his much deserved happily ever after in the past. Only then another Steve shows up, and another. And Bucky realizes he still hasn't got any idea what's going on.
What he does have is a whole lot of Steves, a fraught relationship with his own Steve, and tentative plans to leave. But the more Bucky talks to all these different versions of Steve, the more he begins to wonder if leaving really is what's best for him and his Steve, or if there's a way to make something new out of their long friendship.

Summary
It's been 2 years since the Helicarrier crash and Bucky has slowly been struggling to rebuild who he is. Living alone on the fringes in Bucharest is not without it's challenges but at least he is safe while he tries to piece back together his shattered memories. Until a slip up in a moment of panic brings Steve and Natasha into his far removed life. In hopes of restoring his broken mind, he returns with them to Stark Tower to begin the long road to recovery. The road is full of potholes and wrong turns but along the way he grows close with his new friends and as time goes on begins to fall head over heels for Steve.
An angst ridden story about Bucky Barnes recovery from Hydra's torture.

The gallop of Sam’s heart slows, and the tightness in his lungs eases so suddenly that it’s like he’s gone buoyant, ready to float away without the help of any wings. Barnes turns as if he can sense Sam looking at him, and when he meets Sam’s eyes, he smiles, and it’s the brightest damn thing on this battlefield, a shock of sweetness in the midst of so much dark bitterness and confusion. Sam smiles back, giddy with joy and relief.
He thinks, thank God Bucky’s okay.

Summary
Bucky is fine. Really. He’s had therapy, he talks to Sam. He’s had plenty of time to settle down and focus on getting better.
Except, now he’s part of a team, a family, and when things happen, they look to him.
And sure, he wouldn’t mind taking a minute to himself, those shame rooms hurt a little more than he’d care to admit. But there’s no time for that with all of this new responsibility.
So, his nightmares are back, sure, he’s used to them. And no more therapy, no time. And oh? Sam doesn’t want to talk anymore? Okay that’s fine. He’s back in the middle of all the chaos? Cool sure.
And as for focusing on himself and his own health? Okay let’s be honest, when did he ever do that?
Or, Bob has a bad night, and Bucky’s the only one around to help. Unfortunately, they end up in Bucky’s shame rooms instead. But that’s okay, cause Bucky’s totally over it now. Totally.
