However, she also knew he did not see Marina as she truly was: calculating, at times conniving, a person who would look out for herself no matter what. A worrying list which made Penelope decide she would have to become the same if she wanted to put an end to the lies.
And she did, on the morning before Daphne’s engagement ball when she joined the Bridgertons for tea.*******
Penelope wished she could change her actions but it is too late, Colin is gone, she ruined her family for nothing, and heartbreak must be an illness because she really doesn’t feel well.
