And when Jason pushed aside his obsession with Bruce, the answer was so clear. He knew exactly what he wanted. He knew what he’d always wanted, ever since he was that little street rat who spent money he needed for food on making himself look clean. Because he’d needed to look clean and presentable to get into the public libraries. Because they wouldn’t have let a dirty homeless kid touch the books.
“I want to go to college.”
And Talia had made that happen for him.
(AU where, at the end of his League of Assassins training, Jason decides to go to Metropolis for college instead of going back to Gotham for revenge. Things spiral from there. The title is so sarcastic by the way. There’s nothing regular about Jason Todd.)

On his way home, Tony finds an injured stray in an alley and despite his best intentions, ends up adopting the dog.
As dogs tend to do, the newest furry Compound resident makes everyone’s lives just a little bit brighter (unless one dares to wish harm upon Tony), up to and including throwing off the whole betting pool and accomplishing what the rest of the team had been unable to do in regards to the three pining idiots.

Summary
Somewhere between laying on the crumbling permafrost in Sokovia and finding himself alone on the cold hard ground of a Siberian bunker, Tony made the choice to stop thinking about the future. He no longer loses sleep over the delicate variables of earth’s existence. He doesn’t dream of a suit of armor around the world.
He does dream of Captain America, from time to time, holding his shield to the base of his throat and pushing. He’s always slow about it and Tony wakes screaming.

Summary
On his trip to the toy store, Tony finds a plush doll that seems out of place. Everyone else finds it creepy, with its big, blue eyes and black ninja mask, its body torn up and mistreated, but Tony thinks the little guy is adorable and just needs some extra love and care.
He takes the little soldier plush home, never realizing the simple, loving touch to mend old hurts would be the thing to save them both.
