A blast of energy releases from the G.U.N. Agents weapon, completely missing its target and hitting one of the glowing tanks lining the walls of the exit to the bunker.
As the tank cracks it takes Shadow a second to register what’s about to happen. A massive explosion that could potentially hurt Maria or Gerald if they don’t get away fast. He's almost too panicked at the idea of his sister getting hurt to decide what to do. But he pushes past it to think of a way to save his family, and fast.
It really only takes a few moments of thinking to realize that he can either try to skate them out or…
In less than a second the decision is made. Shadow grabs Gerald’s hand as well as Maria’s. He focuses on his chaos energy.The group of three disappear in a flash of light just as the tank explodes, making it seem like they were simply disintegrated in the explosion of Shadows trapped energy breaking loose.
Or; What if Shadow used his powers to teleport Maria and Gerald to safety.

Maddie mock gasped. “Sonic! You dare accuse me, your dear mother, of such a heinous crime?”
Sonic looked down, spotting a little bit of fluff sticking out from the bottom of Maddie’s sweater.
“I see a little fluff there.” He said slyly.
He walked over, gently grasping at the fur sticking out.
His smile widened as he saw the fluff wiggle.
