Summary
Sonic Star, a famous outlaw known for his gun-slinging, has taken in a young fox kit named Tails Prower. The young kit has immense power and potential for a strange form of magic but little control. Out of concern for the kit, Sonic approaches an… old friend, the Shadow of the Desert Waste, to ask if he’d be willing to tutor Tails, as he possesses similar abilities. While the Shadow is initially resistant, he feels as if he owes Sonic and agrees. So begins Tails’ apprenticeship under the Shadow, an arrangement neither are entirely onboard with but agree to regardless. However, Tails soon learns there is more to his teacher and about his adopted brother…

Summary
Tails the Fox has grown up into his early twenties. The days of battling Eggman felt like a distant memory. Things should be well then, right?
Not quite.
Tails' formative years after the victory against Eggman have not been kind. He hates how he looks, he no longer fits in Sonic and Amy's lives, and the loneliness is starting to bother him. He attempts to remedy this the way he knows how: by inventing a biomanipulator. Things do not go as planned, and what was supposed to heal his "damaged" mind, has transformed "him" into a "her" instead. The darkness in her own soul follows her relentlessly as she scrambles to make sense of what she wants and what she deserves.

There was a moment of quiet as Knuckles looked at the sky, his violet eyes regarding the patterns of the stars above his head as Shadow stood beside Sonic, the fox kit sleeping, held in the arms of the Wachowski Tribe patriarch - of Knuckles' new father. His new mother had her arms around his shoulders, a small smile on her face as she said softly, "You're not alone any more Knux, and no matter what happens, you will always have a home here." She promised him, a promise that Knuckles had never heard before.
"Yeah, Mom's right!" Sonic said, "You're one of us now Knux, and family means that no one gets left behind -"
"Or fogotten." Shadow said softly, his ears flicking slightly, the two humans nodding,
"That's right," The Lord of Doughnuts - Father said. Knuckles looked at them all, a tight feeling in his chest,
"No one gets left behind, or forgotten..." He murmured. A pain filled his chest, as he remembered what his father had said that day, then he looked at the humans and the other Mobians. He then looked at the stars again, and in that moment he knew what he had to do. His old family needed to be remembered and his new family seemed to want him to never forget where he came from.Series
