Summary
One year before the War of the Ring, Sumara of Jehengrabad and her troupe of Haradrim minstrels are captured for trespassing by the Wood-elves of Mirkwood. As she stands before King Thranduil, he offers them a chance at freedom — if they play for him. But when the Woodland Realm becomes fixated by Sumara's haunting Haradrim love songs, the minstrels discover that elven lands can be very difficult to leave.
Beneath the surface, the troupe harbors a secret payload and skills that could change the course of history — skills desperately needed by the kingdom of Dale. With time running out before Mordor attacks, Sumara must choose between fulfilling her duty and succumbing to the dangerous allure of the elvenking.

Summary
Modern girl with minimal knowledge of lotr wakes up in middle earth. The world is in a bad way, the one ring is found and darkness has reared its ugly head.
Finding her way to the elves is a trip and a half in so many ways. Discovering that goblins, dragons and dark overlords are a thing is most unwelcome.
Stranded as she is this poor human tries to make the best of things, but troubles and adventure lies ahead.
Starts around the time of the fellowship of the ring.

Summary
On the day of the New Year, it is told that Thranduil and Celeborn met in the forest where they rename Mirkwood as Eryn Lasgalen, The Wood of the Greenleaves. Thranduil gave the southern part of his realm to Celeborn, and kept the northern part as far as the mountains for himself and his people. The woodlands in between were given to the Beornings and Woodmen. But they must have had a lot more to talk about than that.
This is Thranduil's tale of the War of the Ring. Whilst he fights Sauron's army in his own lands, he is haunted by dreams of his sons; his youngest in far away Gondor, and his eldest, Laersul, in the west to hold agains the goblins of the Hithaeglir and Thranduil himself leads the vanguard of the battle. His middle child, Thalos, he has left to guard the stronghold. In case all fails.
