They might as well be handing out a one-way ticket to the F1 roster, and all the fame, glory, and money that comes with it.
The entire city’s confident that the best driver that the circuit’s known in decades, Dazai Osamu—street name: McQueen, will win the opportunity.
That is, until a redheaded rookie known by the name of Prince shows up on his streets.

“Uh, sorry, but unfortunately I already have a date to the dance.”
“Oh, really?” Tachihara says, sounding disappointed. He pauses for a second, clearly processing what Chuuya’s just told him, and then says, “Who is it?”
Chuuya certainly hadn’t budgeted for this. Panicking, he tries to think of the people that he knows that are single, and before he knows it, the first name that comes to mind is slipping out of his mouth. “With Dazai.” / After a momentary lapse in judgment, high school student Chuuya ends up having to pretend to date his enemy Dazai to get Tachihara off of his back - and quickly finds it's nowhere as bad as he'd imagined.

Summary
Chuuya struggles to convince himself he’s human and it becomes more increasingly difficult, especially with Arahabaki spilling poison in his mind.
Dazai defects from the Port Mafia, but gets caught by Chuuya. One fight leads to another and Dazai says something that Chuuya will never forget.
Chuuya starts to self-harm and when he’s finally had enough, he activates corruption on the battlefield in hopes to end his life. Of course, Dazai rushes to his aid, but Chuuya is in critical condition.
Open wounds can heal, but will Dazai be able to piece back Chuuya’s mental scars?
