    Summary

    Some festive mood is all Clarke wants this December. Literally, just one fun, disappointment-free Christmas. Is it really too much to ask? Seems that the universe has other things in store, sprucing up her life with a slew of accidents. One thing Clarke can't be mad about is that all the mayhem brings the most beautiful rescuer into her life time and again.

    Summary

    Clarke isn't coping well with peacetime on the Eligius ship, and while Bellamy has woken some of the others (mainly spacekru) and tries to organise a trip to the ground, making decisions and considering all the variables, Clarke makes a choice of her own:

    She'll take herself out of the equation.

    OR: the post season 5 idea I had to write because all of the unresolved emotional turmoil this season is actually killing me and someone needs to notice that Clarke is in pain, for the love of god.

    Summary

    The funeral was on a Wednesday.

    Funerals were never a big deal on the Ark. Bellamy can count the number of funerals he went to on one hand, because they only did any celebration if the person who passed was someone of importance. Even then, he didn’t care about anyone they were mourning, but instead he looked at the clock, counting the moments until it was over. Then, when they were on the Ground, the original 100 died one after another, they didn’t have time for any fanfare.

    So this is the first funeral Bellamy is a part of that makes him feel like someone’s punched a whole in his chest. Echo’s standing near him, close enough so he can pretend she’s touching him, but even she is afraid to be near him. His entire family are doing nothing more than staring at him, or the ground, or the gravestone. They feel fragmented as well, hovering around each other as if afraid to go anywhere near. Near each other, near the other Grounders.

    Near the empty grave.

    ~~~~~~~
    Upon landing in the new world, it seemed like humanity finally had a chance at peace. When suddenly something is taken from them, Bellamy and crew must find a way to navigate this new world when it feels like it's falling apart.
    Summary
    Clarke didn’t know why she had stopped eating. She just had. Maybe it was the loads of biology and chemistry homework she was behind, not being helped by the dark cloudy days that had taken over the city of Arkadia, making her long to curl up in a cozy sweatshirt, bury her head under her duvet. Clarke didn’t think she was ugly, not necessarily. She knew she was a bit on the thicker side, but always prided in how well she could fill out jeans, turn heads in cropped tops. Maybe it was the fact that her father's death was always fresh on her mind. A deep pit in her stomach that she was never fully able to reconcile, her mourning period brief, rushed onto the next task of her life before the tears had even had time to dry.
    PLEASE DON'T read this if you are easily triggered. Talks about eating disorder and other mental health issues.
    Summary
    There’s a special feeling about opening the café first thing in the morning. The smell of the coffee is stronger than it ever is, the baked goods are still warm and fragrant, and there’s no one there to tell Clarke that everything she’s doing isn’t enough. It’s tranquil, calm, and filled with magic.
    Also, Clarke is magic, so there is that.
    ~~~

    When Clarke opened Coffee Ground-ers Café, she knew that it may not be the medical career she thought she’d have, but she could still help people. It was small – almost imperceptible – but Clarke liked to put a little bit of magic in her drinks to make people’s day better. A sprinkle of cinnamon and a dash of luck. Of course, even with the smallest of magic, there are some consequences – she takes the pain from them in order to make her customer’s days a little better. Or as she explains it to her friend Wells, she bears it so they don’t have to.

    When a customer breaks her out of her morning routine, she does what she always does: takes whatever is hurting him. Except it’s not that simple. Clarke can build the perfect latte, but this doesn’t make sense. He’s not cute. He’s not funny. Seriously, Wells, he’s not.
