The world has ended 3 times now, and they have managed to survive. Every single hard decision or obstacle that came up, they have overcome it. Although, the real obstacle of forgiveness, unspoken feelings, betrayal, and anger has not been relieved. Add in a little bit of memory loss and Madi's stories about the time they were gone, Spacekru realizes that they've misjudged Clarke so they wouldn't have to evaluate their actions.

Where all the unspoken anger comes out and everyone attacks Clarke but then she loses her memory and suddenly everything is different. Suddenly, they finally realize all the pain she endured for them when it's too late for forgiveness.
This is set after season 6 but there is a lot of flashbacks and time jumps. All of the characters that died by the end of season 6 are dead in this fanfic (sorry) but they will be all mentioned at some point in the novel.

“Can I help you?” Bellamy asked more firmly than he intended. He couldn’t help the knee jerk reaction to thinking she brought danger to the people he cared about most.
Her hands twisted together nervously at his tone. “Is John Murphy here?”
His surprise is obvious. Because, no one knows Murphy. Yes, he spends all of his spare time at Bellamy’s house but he’s by far the most aloof of the group. He’s the sarcastic bastard who cares in his own weird way. But they only know the bare basics of his life before meeting him at Lincoln's gym two years ago.
Bellamy couldn’t help the nerves that tightened in stomach as he became aware of the silence from the livingroom. Knowing everyone was listening he raised his voice a bit. “Whose asking?”
He never got a response. Her eyes locked on something over his shoulder and when he looked he found Murphy standing speechless. His friend appeared as if he had been punched in the gut.

Clarke feels like she’s in a game of tug of war and she’s the rope. On the one side there is warmth drawing her in and welcoming her home with open arms. The sounds of children laughing, unburdened by the world, flit around. She can hear her dad and Wells and Lexa and Finn and all the others she’s ever loved and lost, it sounds so sweet it’s a wonder why she doesn’t allow herself to be pulled away into it. On the other side it’s a feeling of uncertainty. It’s cold with patches of warmth like swimming through the ocean where the sun has warmed it unevenly. It sounds harsh and uninviting. The monotonous beep of machinery drones on and on endlessly. She isn’t even certain how long she’s been stuck here being pulled a little bit this way one minute then a little bit that way the next but it feels safe not having to make a choice. For once no one is relying on her to make an impossible decision. No one’s life is dependent on her. The weight of the world doesn’t rest on her shoulders. There is no living with the consequences of her actions by staying here. And most importantly, no one is dying. Except maybe her.

Thomas and Newt deal with Teresa’s betrayal, especially since it lead to WICKED capturing Minho. Thomas left is burdened by the guilt and pain, becoming shell of his former self. He becomes withdrawn and finds it hard to trust anyone. He becomes convinced that he deserves the pain and guilt. Newt becomes concerned for his friend and battles the despair of seeing the one person that gave him hope, lose his hope. Newt tries to be there for Thomas, but as Thomas pushes him away, Newt finds harder and harder to help his best friend. On Sanctum, Octavia and Bellamy learn more about the Anomaly. Octavia disappears through it, Bellamy rushes in after her, only to end up a different Earth, much like the one they destroyed in their own universe. Bellamy is captured by WICKED. Echo and Gabriel rush back to Clarke, who is struggling to maintain the peace among the different factions. Clarke forms a team to save them. On the other side of the Anomaly, they are cornered by Thomas, Harriet, and Newt on a supply run. They mistake Clarke and her friends for WICKED operatives and takes them back to camp. Clarke and Thomas must learn to trust each other, as they deal with their demons, and find a way to save Minho, Bellamy and Octavia.
