And yet...Buggy the Clown, an (former) apprentice of the Roger pirates and holder of the Chop-Chop fruit, becomes a marine.

There lay a head and a body in an alley in Loguetown.
On the third day. The corpse twitched.
All at once. The crunch of bones first, crackling and popping like the escaping of air in joints. Crawling out from the fatal wound, pure white as if bleached by the sun. The periosteum came next, fibrous and fatty to protect the new formations. Nerves and sinew pulsed and crawled along like a fungus. Fat and musculature inched along in layers. Organs, colorful and bare. Skin grew like bacteria in a petri dish, cultured along different spots and spreading outwards. Hair forced itself outward.
On the third day, there were two bodies in the alley.

The writing is smearing in some places, the lettering barely legible, but the fifteen-year-old recognizes the writing and can make sense of it.

When Zoro was young. Very young, he lived on the island of Kazan. The island of Kazan was shrouded in ash and smog thanks to the volcano that had been spewing toxic gas for hundreds of years. Of course, the volcano had to erupt one day, but Zoro had always hoped it wouldn't for as long as he lived. He's a demon alright, and demons are nothing if determined.
Or; 'Demon of the East Blue' is more accurate than most might realize.

“There are three more around the corner,”. Robin’s voice informed, crackling over Zoro’s earpiece.
“Yeah, I can tell,”. The man responded, holding his gun up and firing three rounds, each one hitting their mark and hitting with a sickening schluk in enemy bodies. All three of them fell, and Zoro continued around the corner, grabbing one of the guards’ hands and moving it in front of himself, blocking a spray of bullets from the others with the now dead man.
“Don’t talk to Robin like that, shitty Marimo!” Sanji’s grating voice growled from over the comms. Zoro scowled.
“Shut up. Have you put down the interrupter thing yet?” He asked, kicking one of the bodies out of the way as he quietly stepped up a flight of stairs.
-----The Strawhats are a vigilante group that's working on their own accord. Of course, that's until Zoro takes the wrong files, and they find a kid with antlers. Everything spirals after that. Zoro just hopes that his abilities don't get uncovered.
Yeah, that secrecy isn't going to last long.
