Poppy Camomila is terrified when she learns her parents are essentially selling her hand in marriage to the Big Mom pirates in exchange for protection of her family's wealthy tea empire. Arvis Mond had never had an easy life. Between being a Grimm, having to fight Wesen around basically every corner, nearly flunking out of school because of all the near-death experiences, and having basically no life of his own because of the prior influences, he’d always had it rough. To make matters worse, he’s had to spend the last seventeen years chasing his father around the world, while he chases shadows.
Needless to say, Arvis is getting pretty tired of running. It’s fortunate, then, that his next lead puts him in Portland. Unfortunate, perhaps, that it gets him embroiled in the bullshit plotting of the royals, but there’s a light in every dark.
And this time, Arvis might just be able to see it.
