Summary
It starts, as most things in his life do, as an accident. He's fifteen, and just finally hit his growth-spurt and that must mean that he's almost a real grown-up man now, right? And real grown-up men need to shave. Well, if he's honest with himself, he doesn't need to shave, not yet, not really. But there are a few hairs growing on his chin, there are, you just have to look veeeery closely. And so he decides to nick one of his mom's single-use razors (the electric one of his father scares him a little bit) and shaves himself.
Or: Gumshoe tries to shave for the first time. He looses a few hairs and a bit of blood, but he gains something much more meaningful

Those dreams suddenly came a little more into focus, when his idiot of a pimp accidentally tried to rent him to Bruce Wayne. Poor bastard could have never guessed he was the Batman himself. Heck, not even Jason figured that out, at first. And Batman had practically adopted him.

If Siegfried could be proud of nothing else, through whatever mishaps and misfires he might have plodded right into while bringing up Tristan- never, not even once, ever- did he lay a hand on the young boy.
But with words like these, who needs a rod?
His little brother reels back, sharp, as if he'd just caught a nasty palm clean across the cheek.
"Oh," Tristan says. Then, quieter, "Oh. I see."
And, worst of all,
"I'm sorry."
