Summary
After being banished from Eden, they formed a family. Both—the only good thing they still possessed—had eternal youth—more or less. Through years of trial and error, they decided to establish a religion in an attempt to guide their descendants down the right path. Adam, the father, and Eve, the mother, took on the roles of protectors and founders of the first cathedral churches, successfully spreading their worship throughout the continent.
Everything was going well. The sign from God—after Abel's death—returned, and it seemed they were promised a prosperous future upon dying in heaven. But someone else wanted to interfere in the future of one of them, a desire that had been with them since Eden.
Michael and Gabriel, sent by God, are tasked with preventing Adam and Eve from falling back into sin. But in the end, they don't take their role seriously enough when they see Adam again.
