A skeleton monster to be precise.
With the barrier breaking, a large surge of magic descended on the town you live in, and transformed you overnight. Unsure what to do with you, and the others changed, you're ushered into a facility until a monster with similar magic can take you to teach you how to wield the now uncontrollable magic you've been given. After waiting in this place for four years, you'd given up hope that anyone would ever want to take you.
What a surprise for you when you find out that someone does. A lot of someones.

I'm surprised I hasn't bookmarked this yet as I have been reading it for a long time
The writing style is not what I usually read. At first it even put me off a bit. It's more descriptive of what I thought were irrelevant things, and at the beginning of the fic there was a grammar mistake that kept getting made that weaker me was annoyed by,
But I always look forward to a chapter seriously. It's definitely one of my favourite fanfics. The story is so so fun and creative. It's very descriptive which means you KNOW what's going on, what the places look like, what they're talking about, etc. The author explains emotional scenes and what the main character is feeling kind of obviously which, annoyed the parts of me that didn't want to be over explained to, but also benefitted the parts of me that struggle with emotions, relationships, and needs more time for things to click with me.
The fact that the writing style isn't my usual I'd go for, but the story is amazing, continuous, flowing, always pushing, etc shows me how creative anyone can be and inspires me.
The author absurdmage even has art of the characters and covers for chapters on their tumblr. It's amazing how much they do for their works.
Also this author has respect for every character they bring in, and each character has their own personality and values, but also DOES usually share a set of morals/values that the author clearly thinks are important, which is being open minded, emotional vulnerability, etc. This fits for even the fell or darker characters because they've been up top for years now and also, you can be groomed to not foster something but still have it's importance in the back of ur head.
Anyway yeah great long fic to binge!!!

Noah and Alejandro are just friends, and that's perfectly fine. There is absolutely no pining going on, none at all. Except for between Courtney and Gwen, who Alejandro and Noah are determined to set up together.
It's totally fine to manipulate your friends if it'll make them happy, by showing them what they didn't realize was right in front of them all along. Right?
