** This is a solidly Season 2 AU fic in that Lucifer never freaks out and flees to Vegas after Chloe’s poisoning and ‘miracle reveal’, so no Candy creating a wedge between them. It’s early Deckerstar here while they’re still feeling their way forward. Fits in any time after ‘A Good Day to Die’ with both of them hopeful, yet hesitant, to finally cross that brink to becoming ‘something more’ than just friends.

I started this fic with the season 5 episode 1 title « Really Sad Devil Guy » and will lead it to the ending I wish for the series.
This is a hard fic with probably too much hurt but with Deckerstar and a happy ending, I promise!
