Summary
He thinks he laughs out of sheer amusement. It is simply so interesting that the Light’s birth is not a heart-tugging cry of an infant taking its first breath. It was not the loving song of a cooing dove as the sun descended into the evening. Everything that had happened in that single second does not trickle nor fade in.
It is everything but what a Light is said in proverbs and verses and chapters from the World he once knew. Not in the Canonical Scripture and yet, something immensely Venerable.
It is fast, and it is not patient, nor was it kind. There is no fear within him, as the Light had driven it far, far away; despite its tumultuous inception and the ironic near-death of the world just as it is about to be created.

Summary
Then you would trace your name. And then his surname. And then the phrase, Stanford Pines’ Wife. Ford’s fingers stutter to a halt. His surname after your given name. He traces it again, and again, and again.
He opens his eyes.
His hand stills from its ministrations, freezing in a memory far gone. He is alone in the middle of the universes and dimensions far beyond his home. Far beyond you.
That was once upon a time.

Summary
Family has always been the centre of your life, no questions asked. You love the twins and treat them kindly yet sternly, just as your mother once had with you. You know well enough the basics of building connections and emotional bonds that would come to be the reason why you loved this show in the first place; belonging.
Even without you in the picture, you know well enough not to disturb that sense of belonging. Not when you’re in the dawn of the canon plotline.

Summary
Setting the fabric and the needle down, you close your eyes. You had been there, a witness and a bystander. The highs and the lows. There had been some minor changes, some minor setbacks, but the fate of the characters had been the same.
Stanford’s transfer to Gravity Falls to study the paranormal. His adventures and the discovery of the Cipher Wheel etched in that godless cave. His Muse. Fiddleford’s entrance and exit. Their falling out. The inevitable betrayal and descent into mental chaos and paranoia. Stanley’s entrance. Stanford’s exit.
At the last thought, you inhale and blink away the scorching magma coming to life behind your eyelids. You can’t cry, not now.
Not yet.

Summary
"Why is it your favorite book?"
You look at him, and you smile gently. His eyes widened and he felt as if his lungs had pushed out all the oxygen left.
"Because it is a journey," you say, softly. "A journey of the brave, of the clever. Across the vast sea with anything and everything and nothing in between."

-where ford remembers the first time he stumbles upon you. you were sitting under a tree, reading, and something about you unnerves him; greatly so. while your conversations swell into a slow cresendo of tiptoeing around the other, you unknowingly carve your fates into that tree, metaphorically. the tree isn't an olive tree just like in the book you were reading, unfortunately.

Summary
There are two travellers; one of a world fictitious and fabled and one of a world beyond his own. There are two travellers, guided by the stars and by the dreams of a life doomed and blessed and cursed all the same. There are two travellers, footsteps imprinted on sand blown away by the cruel winds and stones that dig into the soles of their feet. There are two travellers, lost in time and in fleeting visions disguised as dreams and nightmares; although the distinction is slowly blurring the lines that had once separated it.
One traveller marvels at the worlds and dimensions and timelines different from his own, the core of his very soul staring back at him. Spinning on its own axis, on the axis of those near, and everywhere and nowhere all at once; is this not what you wanted? Is this not what you needed?.
One traveller holds the threads of fate in her hands, weaving a tapestry of a world she once knew, of a world she is born again in. Confusing and familiar and foreign. The colors cloyingly stare at her, taunting her of her place in this universe, you do not belong here, girl.
Two travellers, one emotion. One habit. One similarity.
Yearning.
