After days of being left on read, The Dark Urge pays a visit to the Iron Throne to see what was so important that Gortash left him unattended.
“Have you changed your mind and decided to end our plan prematurely?”
Durge looked up at him, intrigued. “Why do you ask?”
“You're being awfully nice to me today.” Gortash shrugged with a crooked smile. “Too nice. Like I'm a dog that's getting its last treat before it gets put down.”

Conceiving the Absolute plot was not enough to satisfy Durge's need to create. Gortash begs to differ.
It was a little game of theirs, setting a meeting date and then proceeding to test the ingenuity of his ally against his protective measures.
Yet as always The Dark Urge somehow managed to slip into his office unnoticed. Not till he felt her sharp nails scratching the hair at the back of his neck.

He should leave. Pretend he was never here, that he hadn’t shown up at all. Pretend he hadn’t bothered with Gortash’s summons. Or perhaps burst through the doors and wear another of the many masks in his repertoire — the prolific killer, the monster, the beast. Shred the sweet thing Gortash amused himself with to pieces. Shatter whatever plan he had and threaten the man’s sense of control.
