Summary
The Holmes' had their share of secrets, but so did John, and his greatest fear was that somebody (read: Sherlock) would discover his. In short, the ex-army doctor wasn't silent about his violent past just out of a desire not to think about it, but also because John was an honest man, and he didn't enjoy telling lies, even half-lies. HP/Sherlock Crossover. Oneshot. Gen.

Interesting plot development
Some uncomfortable angst and characters trauma. It’s an interesting take but some things feel swept under the rug. I get that elves are forgiving and ‘gods’ have spoken, (and the story needs to move along), but I find there is some caviller treatment of trauma. Is poor treatment of a friend acceptable to Nobel lords like Elrond? -

Summary
A man named Cas wakes up in 2003 with no memories, but he's able to piece together a few things:
Supernatural creatures exist, and most of them will hurt innocent civilians if he doesn't stop them; he has abilities that no human hunter should have, but he knows enough about human hunters to keep that to himself, and finally; he keeps running into another hunter named Dean Winchester, who must be as lonely as he is if he's willing to put up with those former facts long enough to help Cas unravel the mystery of who (or what) he really is.
For his part, Dean's still (not) dealing with Sam's departure to Stanford, and figures distracting himself with a bit of mystery and intrigue is as harmless as it gets, right? Right.

Summary
"Steve 'the Hair' Harrington, a rage-filled barbarian, who knew?" Eddie says, like its a compliment, like Steve has ANY idea what that means.
"Uh, I knew. Obviously." Steve says, wisely, even though he clearly didn't. "Anyway, do you think we could eat a demobat? Or would we turn into some kind of monstrous freak? I'm starving, and Dustin's cheese crackers are not enough to get me on my feet again."
"What difference does it make to me if I'm a human freak or a monster one?" Eddie shrugs, and Steve butts his shoulder up against Eddie. It's meant to be brotherly, maybe friendly, but it's too soft. Felt like something he might have done before slinging an arm around a girl's shoulders.
"You're not a freak." Steve says, and finds he means it.
Eddie's eyes, when he looks at Steve, are curious. "No?"
"No."
