Summary
"I kill so others don't have to," Bruce states firmly and clearly. This entire situation didn't seem like it could get any more bizarre, what with Bruce sitting in the dark and polishing guns, but somehow it just has, "While you are here you will not kill."
Jason's throat is scratchy and dry with terror, but the insatiable feeling of being talked over and disregarded is a fresh wound. He can't back down from this if he tried, "I've killed. I still kill. Who the fuck do you think you are to stop me?"
Bruce gently sets down his gun, and picks up the blade beside him with practised ease. Jason's blood runs cold when the man wearing his father's face says, "You will die by my hand if you try."
(Jason meets a version of Bruce who has manifested his fears very differently.)

Summary
Ayano Aishi has always lived in a dull, emotionless world—and she liked it that way. Feelings? Overrated. Romance? Absolutely not. Her mother once told her that love would bring meaning to her life, but Ayano was pretty sure her mother also thought that murder solved most problems, so… she took that with a grain of salt.
But then she met him.
In Ayano’s monochrome world, he was the colour. Suddenly, she was feeling things—jealousy, butterflies, full-blown existential crises—and it was awful. Euphoric, but awful. Ayano was determined not to spiral like her mother. She vowed to keep her head down and stay out of trouble. She would be the one to break the twisted cycle of the Aishi bloodline.
And yet, just as she resolved to live a quiet life, she found herself becoming acquainted with people she didn't expect.
Now her life was full of exactly what she dreaded most—chaos, attention and a growing number of people who somehow thought she was interesting.
…Maybe what she needed to feel alive wasn't colour, after all.
Maybe it was light.
TLDR; A story in which Ayano begins to realise that Taro isn't the only fish in the sea.

Summary
This series started as just a one-shot to help people with AO3's CSS for making work skins. Then I added a piece on making series. Then it... snowballed. I don't expect to add further tutorials, but I hadn't expected to write these either. I'm calling the series complete, but who knows (one thing that keeps nudging me is to take the statistics and show how fics' half-lives vary, for example; another is putting all weird AO3 fixes into one spot).
NB: If you're wondering, please see How to make and fix a series on AO3 (in this series with the tutorial on CSS work skins for fonts, which made that link become underscored blue ink [assuming that your browser settings, site skin, and third party apps didn't prohibit it]).
Cf. the CSS Abuse and HTML Tryhard collection, as a whole.
