Summary
Dawn learns that Spike is in LA just before Angel goes ahead with his plan to attack the members of the Circle of the Black Thorn. For reasons she would rather not examine, she sets out on a quest to keep him from dying again. Naturally, she ends up examining them to death, while working tirelessly to ensure that she gets the chance to hash out exactly where the two of them stand these days.
Roughly half the fic is composed of flashbacks that take place during the main BtVS series.
