Summary
This was the last straw. She’d been ignoring it for weeks now but just this morning, the pain had been so intense that she’d been unable to get out of bed. Tara needed to find the cause of these chronic backaches that often left her thoroughly debilitated.
Buffy sat on the bench, staring at nothing. It had been an hour since the rain had soaked through all of her clothes and she was beginning to shiver but she couldn’t return to that house. It had finally happened. She’d caught him in the act.

Summary
[AU] Buffy Summers thought grad school would be hard enough without the sharp-eyed, impossible-to-please Professor Angelus O’Connor breathing down her neck. But between late nights of research, academic battles that leave sparks flying, and a growing scandal that threatens everything she’s worked for, Buffy finds herself caught between who she was and who she’s becoming. A story of ambition, defiance, and unexpected love under the weight of university walls.

If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck... by zinjadu

Summary
... It's a duck.
There's just a tiny bit of magic floating around after Willow ends the Will be Done spell, and it turns the resident captive vampire into a duckling. And he's so adorably angry about it. Question is now... who's going to take care of duckling!Spike? Oh, it's Buffy, of course.
But Spike being a duck doesn't mean everything else goes away. He's got a new perspective, and over time, so does Buffy. Changes to Season 4 grow as time goes on.
I'm sure someone's written something like this before, but I got the idea and here we are. The plot also started to happen, and now I can't stop it.

Summary
What if someone opened the eyes of the Scooby gang? What if, with a little care and understanding, the whole world changed? With a little look and some kindness, some much-needed spilt truths, a dark world could finally be righted and lightened.
An alternate season 5 with a darker side, be careful (I mean it, it's dark, really. At least the beginning is. So, be careful)
More tags could be added later, it will depend on the writing

Summary
It was just to fill a hole; feed a need for them both. A pretend (and secret) engagement to cauterize the loneliness in them both.
No feelings involved.
Yeah, right.
Meanwhile, Spike is intent on tracking down the soldiers that put a chip in his head and enacting some very much needed comeuppance, and as luck would have it he's not alone in that goal.

Summary
We pick up after Buffy's first encounter with Glory, when she's just learned about the truth about her sister Dawn. This is a slow, slow burn Spuffy fic with scenes centered around those two. The first canon divergence is simple -- Spike encounters Buffy on her way home after getting pummeled by Glory and having a bomb dropped on her by the dying monk. He is struggling with accepting his feelings for her, but ends up trying a slightly less unhinged approach to building trust and winning her affections. The road is long and winding, and honestly this started as a single scene where Spike cheers Joyce and Dawn up by dancing with them and then it just... got away from me.

Summary
[AU] When Buffy Summers is sent undercover in small-town Iowa to investigate whispers of a failed Initiative project, the last thing she expects is to be paired with Graham Miller — Riley’s old teammate, quiet, disciplined, impossible to read. Their cover demands intimacy, but the danger waiting in the shadows is more than either of them bargained for. Between casseroles, church potlucks, and the lurking threat of Project Helios, Buffy finds herself facing something stranger than demons: the possibility of a future she never imagined.

Summary
Set in Season 5 after episode 9, but goes AU from there. Instead of Spike telling Buffy about the bite house, he decides to take matters into his own hands. With all of his attempts at getting his chip out failing, Spike has decided to target the one person who could actually make it happen. Riley. Spike knows that Riley is heavily in the closet and he plans on being the perfect man for him. The perfect partner in bed to allow all of Riley’s dark fantasies to go out. Only Spike’s plan doesn’t go as perfectly as he was expecting. Not when he starts to develop feelings for Riley. As they become more and more connected both Spike and Riley are determined to protect what they have together and not a Slayer or Hell God was going to get in their way.

Summary
(AU) The Hellmouth is gone, but the war never really ends. Grief, duty, and destiny weigh heavily on Buffy’s shoulders — until an old ally reappears with news that changes everything. Graham is steady where her world is chaos, but opening her heart to him feels like stepping onto dangerous ground. Some paths lead to safety, others to heartbreak, but every step forward feels like falling.

Summary
The Initiative wanted the perfect killer.
Now they have one.
They didn’t just chip Spike. They rewrote him—name by name, memory by memory, until all that remained was a creature they could unleash.
He's Feral. His brain is fried. His memories, scrambled. Somewhere in the ruins of his mind, a voice whispers Buffy — and he sees a girl who once kissed him, loved him, broke him.
Only… it wasn’t him. It was Angel.
But Spike doesn’t know that anymore.
The pathetic love story of Buffy and Angel that Angelus had told him, had mocked—he thinks it’s his. And when they send him back into the field, he looks at her like she’s his.
He remembers everything—except who he is. And she doesn’t recognize the monster who remembers her too well. -

Faith doesn't kill Allan Finch. That changes everything.
(Okay, so it doesn't actually change a lot on a cosmic level. On a day-to-day level, however...)

Summary
The idea that Spike likes her is totally crazy. Mortal enemies don't just go around falling in love with each other.
But somehow, whenever he's around... he makes things a lot more interesting.
