Summary
He had privately dubbed the man Wireface, although he'd be the first to admit it was a crueler nickname than most of the others he had come up with. It wasn't like the other's either, where he simply chose not to ask their names, he was quite sure he couldn't have gotten Wireface's if he tried.
He had been determined not to get attached to anyone in the house, if for no other reason than that he didn't think his psyche could handle another loss if it were to happen. Of all the people he'd taken in he hardly expected it to be the foreigner he couldn't even hold a conversation with to challenge this conviction.

“Yeah, well,” he looks at an old clock behind Wireface. It’s getting late, and he’d like to sleep before he has to guard the door at night. “You’re free to stay here, if you want. Or not. You don’t know what I’m saying, anyways.”
Wireface nods as if he has any fucking clue what’s going on. It’s cute, in a funny way. “Okay. I’m leaving.” He shortly waves, forcing his gaze off the man and feeling like his feet are made up of ten tons of concrete as he opens the door to go.
“Bahbye!” he hears behind him.

Palegun fic where the protagonist forces himself outside while the pale guy guards him. He's sad, he's depressed, but hey he won't be alone for long thanks to this creepy visitor who follows him around like a watch dog.
Keep in mind, this will be a slow burn romance. Because I'm a mega sucker for them.
