“You stuck-stuck, or… like, just emotionally stuck?”
“Physically,” the man calls out, clearly mortified. “Very physically.”
There’s something about his voice, an edge of familiarity that tickles at his brain and makes Eddie’s brows pull together.
He knows that voice.
Before Eddie can place it, Bobby steps forward, flipping on the overhead lights. “Alright,” he says calmly, surveying the room. “Let’s get to work.”
And that’s when it hits Eddie.
The glow of the lights reveals the man in full clarity, tousled curls, expressive face, wide blue eyes full of embarrassment, and Eddie’s stomach drops clean out of his body.
“Buck?” he blurts, eyes going comically wide.
Because it’s him.
Christopher’s favourite YouTuber, the one with the DIY science experiments, survival tips for kids, fifteen minute long videos about how cool octopuses are.
And now he is tied to a hotel bed in nothing but tight boxer briefs, his cheeks flushed a deep red, that is slowly creeping down his chest which is rising and falling fast in quiet horror.
Oh. My. God.
Or; Buck’s a YouTuber and the 118 save him from an embarrassing situation, and him and Eddie hit it off.

Summary
Buck isn’t a firefighter, he just plays one on TV, or at least that’s what he’s about to do. He’s offered the chance to shadow the 118 to learn what it’s like to be a firefighter. Eddie is fed up with these Hollywood types turning up and feigning interest in the job that he loves. Buck, however, is nothing like that and everyone can see the connection they have.

Summary

Summary
Evan Buckley is 26 and lives in L.A. with his parents after dropping out of the SEALs training. He’s lost and confused and lonely (his sister lives with her boyfriend and he pushed away the only friends he had). One day he gets in a serious accident where his leg is badly injured, sending him into a panic spiral. He is terrified that he will lose his leg and the firefighters on the scene think they will have to sedate him. At least until firefighter Eddie Diaz enters the scene and ends up being the only one who manages to calm him down.
Eddie is 27 and a probationary firefighter at the 118. He lives in L.A. with his 7-year-old son, Christopher and he struggles with his relationship with his parents and his lack of friends after moving from Texas.
Despite his captain's advice, he doesn’t stop looking for Buck after they drop him off at the hospital and that means he gets so much more than a friend for life.

Eddie thought for a long moment. Too long, maybe. Then he shrugged, “Honestly, Buck? I have no idea.”
Buck’s brows pinched up. “What do you mean? When have you felt the most loved?”
“Don’t make a big thing of this, Buck. Promise?”
Buck made a show of crossing his heart, brows still raised curiously.
“I’m not sure I’ve ever… really felt loved in a relationship? I’m not convinced that I know what makes me feel loved…”
OR -
After finding out that Eddie doesn't know what his love language is, Buck sets about finding out for him. He begins a five week experiment, one for each love language, to figure out which will make Eddie feel the most loved.
