Summary
Ava Silva, the freshman forward from scrappy Sudbury, Ontario, playing for the Superion College Warriors as the newest and shiniest first line center. Her humble background is impressive, to say the least. She knows how to score goals and there’s no other way to put it.
Beatrice is now in her third year of being the number one defender for not only the Cruciform University Saints, but also the entire college league. She has also been the number one defender for the national squad for three years and has two college championships under her belt, plus a World championship. Being from Brampton, Ontario, she has been surrounded by some of the best skaters in the world her entire life. She will undoubtedly be the true test for Silva, who has already managed to untie the skates of many defenders in the league.
Watch as the two try to navigate each other's existence and how Beatrice handles an unexpected plot twist in her life's journey.

Summary
“What does it mean?” Beatrice asked, pausing the music as she hit the wrong keys and looked at Ava, who was still completely lost in the song. Beatrice had been embarrassed to get the notes wrong, considering it was not complicated.
Ava looked at her, and although she still smiled, Beatrice saw a flicker of something else in her eyes. Uncertainty, perhaps? The idea of it coming out of Ava was so absurd that it made Beatrice feel self-conscious.
“Well, the lyrics of the chorus go…” Ava started singing the translated lyrics, pronouncing the words in a funny way as she tried to match the syllables for each verse. “If you want to be my girlfriend….”
Beatrice suddenly felt her cheeks burning, the piano keys looking a lot more interesting than they had before. She hoped, in the name of everything holy, that Ava had not noticed she was blushing.OR
Beatrice is sent to boarding school for her final year of secondary school, where she meets Ava, who ended up there after regaining movement following an accident that left her paralyzed, and after being caught running away from the orphanage she lived in in Spain. They grow closer through their love of music and Ava’s insistence :)

“I suppose not.” Beatrice hesitated, putting her sandwich down and carefully dusted her hands free of crumbs, before clearing her throat and hesitantly asking, “Ava, would you like -“
“Yes!” Ava dropped the apple to take one Beatrice’s hands, beaming. “I would love to spend Christmas with you.”
“Good,” Beatrice said, smiling back. “I want to spend Christmas with you, too.”
Then she frowned. "What do people do on Christmas?"

"She could bore them to death" Lilith replies, huffing slightly.
"Be nice, Lilith!" Shannon says while giving Lilith's arm a slight nudge.
"What, it's not like our Beatrice has a knack for entertaining small children." She says.
