" I said NOTHING will keep me" she bites back with teeth just as sharp, and willpower just as stubborn as her counterpart. Fur threatens and bones shift as Enid fights against instinct and need.

Summary
By pure luck, she accidentally spotted blonde hair out of the corner of her eye. And not just any blonde hair, the same blonde hair with pink and blue streaks that had offered her champagne at the airport.
“Oh my god, hi!” The blonde beamed at her when Wednesday approached her directly. “I haven’t seen you here before, are you new? I can totes help you! If you need me to show you around, I can do that too! You approached the right person for the job. Don’t worry, the homeless shelter isn’t that scary.”
“You could say so.” Wednesday replied flatly, doing a once-over. “You are a very hard woman to track down, Kara Danvers. Or should I say, Enid Sinclair.”
Like clockwork, all of the color basically drained from Enid’s face.

"Enid." Wednesday can hear the wreckage in her own voice. Her head is foggy, dizzy, and she wonders, briefly, if this is what it feels like to swoon. "I've told you to keep your observations to yourself."
"I can see what I do to you now," Enid says. "And I can't wait to feel you."
Enid sets fire to her insides in the greatest crime of arson in history. If nothing else, Wednesday has to admire the artistry of such carnage.

Summary
It’s a downright demeaning way to live, she inherently knows this. Alicent used to think one day she would let the guilt get the best of her and end this thing between them before it even really got started, but she’s come to realize over the last few months how weak she is.
It makes her feel dizzy to realize how afraid she is, and how despite that fear, she does it anyway. Gives in time and time again, like Rhaenyra is not a spoiled brat and instead some undeniable force of nature.
(Or, where time and time again Rhaenyra proves she is far from being scrupulous to get what she wants, and time and time again Alicent proves she can’t deny what she undeniably wants.)

Alicent didn’t make lead principal of the National Ballet by sleeping in. As the weak winter sun crept over the skyline, she was already sat on the charcoal marley floor in a milky pool of light left by the large half-moon windows of the studio’s Eastern wall.
“Based on your overall ‘chill vibe’,” Laena said, with an assessing glance, grinning at Alicent’s raised eyebrow, “I’m guessing you don’t know yet.”
“Know what?” Alicent replied cautiously, her heart dropping to the pit of her stomach. Everything had to go right today. She couldn’t afford otherwise.
“Darling,” she began with a bit of trepidation, “’You Know Who’ is back. Back in London and back at the National Ballet. She’d been offered a Visiting Fellowship.” Alicent felt her blood still in her veins, her ears ringing.
“Rhaenyra,” she breathed.
