Ruth can't take it anymore- she just has to run away. (and steal her dowry, but that's a different story.)
Then, she meets this Rabbi, and He changes her life. Which is weird, because up until five seconds ago she thought God hated her. Eh, might as well go along with this group of slightly strange adults and see what happens, right?
And oh boy, a LOT happens.
