Summary
The Pack, after college, graduate school and the starting of careers, comes back to Beacon Hills. Nothing's gotten less complicated after all this time.
Based on a kink meme prompt that grew legs and got serious.
Note: This is a whole lot of pack!fic with a very slow build Derek/Stiles.

So good. Complexities and life and relationship and Pack. The struggles and joys inherent in all of that. Emotional intelligence, growth, communication. And underneath it all, the slow thread of Stiles and Derek’s relationship building. Plus Stiles is a BAMF and I love it!

Summary
Jim wrote a romance novel just to prove he could. Then someone leaked it on the public Starfleet server, and suddenly his embarrassingly smutty and sentimental Human/Vulcan love story is all over campus. Luckily for Jim, no one knows that he’s the author. Unluckily for Jim, someone forwarded the novel to the staff of the Vulcan embassy. Now, every Vulcan in San Francisco is reassessing the logical merits of taking Human bondmates.
Spock reads a Human/Vulcan romance novel because he can hardly avoid it. Suddenly, he is consumed by the need to locate the author, ascertain their wellbeing, and instruct them in the way of Vulcan mating bonds. Luckily for Spock, it doesn't take long to identify the author as Jim Kirk. Unluckily for Spock, Jim is unconscious and surrounded by interested Vulcans who also read the book.

Well-written. The London portion made me cry, deep tears coming from the part of me that remembers my parents’ reaction when I fell in love with my first girlfriend, and it helped me heal a little more. My thanks to the author…

Bookmarker's Notes
Gorgeous. The scenes jump around quite a bit in time, but the author has great control over it, so once you’re clued in that the second scene does not chronologically follow the first scene, you’re fine for the rest of it. Really loved BAMF Stiles. And the scene where Blue Eyes describes the Beacon Hills’ Pack — chef’s kiss!
(Update: I think I’ve read this five times now. It’s that good.)

Summary
“I will not apologize for speaking the truth,” the child says. “However, I regret if that truth has offended you.”
“Jesus Christ, kid,” Jim mutters.
“I am not offended,” Spock responds, as blandly as he is able. “I was remiss in casting such hasty judgment upon your guardian.”
”Father,” she corrects.
”Your father,” he agrees.
*****
An academy AU + Tarsus aftermath fic in which James T. Kirk ends up accidentally parentally bonded to an orphaned Vulcan child. When the father/daughter duo enroll in Star Fleet, hijinks ensue (mostly at the expense of Spock’s previously immaculate but quickly deteriorating self-control).
Winner of the 2025 Philon Award for a novel-length fic (!!!)

Bookmarker's Notes
Well-written. Painful because of some of the content, but also healing. I liked the structure as well, alternating flashback scenes from Jim’s perspective and present-time scenes from Spock’s perspective.
