Summary
This is the formula for making a witcher:
One young boy, not yet grown into his bones, saturated with poison and sick with spellwork.
One subdued, well-fed dragon, shackled and staked to the floor.
One sennight behind a locked door.
OR
Bonding with a dragon is the only way to harness Chaos—until it isn’t. The powerful and power hungry have discovered that dragons don’t need to be alive to be useful. Enter dragon poachers.
Geralt is a dragon rider. Jaskier is a bard who infiltrates dragon poaching rings in his free time. He doesn’t like to advertise that last bit.

Summary
“It looks like a flower,” Jaskier says, amazed by it. He’s always loved finding his lover’s soulmarks, tracing the outlines of them, imagining them on his heel.
“Looks like an onion to me.”
OR
Jaskier’s soulmark was removed at birth. Geralt’s soulmark shouldn’t exist. When Jaskier discovers his witcher hasn’t found his soulmate yet, he makes it his personal mission to find Geralt’s Destiny-ordained beloved.

Summary
Geralt is not making a nest. Jaskier has noticed this. Geralt is in fact drinking a rather foul-smelling potion that sours the sweetness of his scent and muffles its otherwise obvious meaning.
“Does that stop heat?” Jaskier asks curiously, absentmindedly tuning his lute as he speaks. He hadn’t thought anything could, but, well . . . witchers and their potions.
“No,” Geralt says darkly.

Summary
"Geralt is able to scent the guilt on a lying man from ten feet away, to catch sight of half a pawprint in the undergrowth in the dead of night, to know when to lean back before the coming blade can cut through his throat. Much of it comes from his training at Kaer Morhen, where his instincts were honed and enhanced, but even more comes from his travels and experiences while walking the Path. Geralt notices things, because not noticing means death.
He does not notice the lack of singing."
Something is very wrong with Jaskier.

Summary
“It’s not your fault,” Geralt finally ground out, coming to stop before his trophy shelf. He flexed his hands a few times. “I thought this was fine. I thought it would work.” He shook his head, and Regis’ heart plummeted even further.
“Geralt," he said quietly. "You don't owe me anything, neither your love or your friendship. If ever I-"
“I already told you,” said Geralt, a little harsher and louder than necessary. “It’s nothing to do with you. I want you. I want this." His voice dropped in volume as he continued. "There's just something wrong with me, Regis.”
Geralt grapples with the abuse he experienced as a young man. Regis is there to guide him through it.
