Summary

Summary
This story starts right after chapter 15 of Double Hearted by Kitsuneisi on Tumblr.
After Grian is released from the hospital things aren't the same between Hotguy and Cuteguy. Hotguy trying to make up for his mistakes leads to an unexpected discovery that could change the lives of mutants everywhere, and changes his relationships with Grian and Cuteguy. They grow closer as the world around them changes.

After Hotguy grows closer to Grian he impulsively cuts ties with the Emerald City without thinking about the consequences. When the same person that attacked the university returns things spiral even farther out of control. Then Grian accidentally starts a revolution.

“Do you love me?” Cuteguy suddenly asked. The question sounded scary in concept, but in reality, if the answer was no, Grian had never had anything left to begin with. There was nowhere to go but up.
“Do I- Cuteguy what are you-”
“Do you love me?” Cuteguy said louder, even more firmly, feeling Hotguy’s body tense against his anxiously. He wanted an answer, the answer was all that mattered. He needed to be sure, he needed to hear it. After everything he’d heard, he needed to hear this.

Based on DDVAU by Kitsuneisi and Maruu on tumblr, following chapter 15 Grian is in the hospital after an attack on the university he works at that led to him becoming possessed and revealed his identity as an undocumented avian. As a result of this he’s fired, leading to mental breakdown that leaves him unable to interact with others or take care of himself, closing himself off from the rest of the world, until one day he sees Hotguy on tv.
