Summary
After years of decline following the retirement of star driver Varka, Zephyros Racing, a legendary Mondstadt racing marque, shocks the paddock by recruiting the most brilliant and controversial rookier of the year: Lohen. Outsiders looking-in, call it a desperate measure—a fading legacy brand betting its future on a driver with blistering pace, a vicious mouth, and a reputation for destroying working relationships.
While Corporate Zephyos whispers disaster to the public image and corporate brand, Illuga, a gifted but low-profile engineer the brand adopted due to a tragedy of a disbanded team, sees him not as a “scandal” but an unnervingly rare precision driver hidden inside all that arrogance.
Lohen may just be the first driver—since Varka—capable of carrying Zephyros Racing forward. Unfortunately for Illuga, he may also be the first one worth stepping back into the spotlight again.

The build-up is amazing, i cant wait to read more of this. I wonder how Illuga will be introduced into the fray, will he be intrigued? Curious? Or expectant? The romance will obviously come after. And i am expecting a fight of sorts, i mean, can we call it a love story of them if it doesnt involve fighting? Maybe a challenge. And i am so very excited!! Good work Author!!

This has got to be the most beautiful writing i've ever read, the poem at the end and the questions, and the yearning! Oh my goodness, i didnt expect to read so much about the ship, i only started because i was curious about Lohen, then grew curious about the ship because i saw it once or twice on Ao3. Not to say i didnt know about Illuga, i really like him, but the only good character fics are always in ship fics, and Illuga's primarily shipped with Flins. Whom i dont ship with, to be honest, i think Illuga has a sort of puppy crush, or something towards the Fae, i cant help but feel bad for him, i would love to read an illuhen fic with that incorporated. The Drama's going to be intense, and so so hurtful to watch.
Anyway, this has successfully brought me into the ship!!!

Toji had been given a reset button. A mulligan. He didn't know why. He didn't know if it was a cruel joke or a clerical error in the afterlife. Maybe he was still in Shibuya, bleeding out, and this was the dying hallucination of a brain starved of oxygen. But the rag was wet in his hand. The floor was hard against his spine. The kid was warm against his leg.
If this was a dream, it was too vivid. If it was a second chance, it was a heavy one.
His gaze returned to the mountain of trash bags. It was a monument to his life: piled up, rotting, ignored, and uselessly stinking up the place. He’d treated his existence like a hand of cards he was waiting to fold.
"Alright," he whispered to the empty, filthy room. "Fine."
