Nino’s fist tightened in anger. “You are! You’re worth it! And I-I really have to tell you something.”
Adrien’s expression softened. “I just meant you could have called instead?”
Nino shook his head. This was too much, too big. He needed to be here, so Adrien didn’t have to face it alone. “I really couldn’t have called. Not about this.”
“So, what is it?”
Nino licked his lips, searching for the right words, but there wasn’t really any way to soften this blow. And it was absolutely cruel that Nino had to be the one to deliver it. Gabriel or Ladybug should have held that responsibility, but if they couldn’t or wouldn’t step up, Nino would.
Because Adrien needed to know.
