Summary
Harry had not had much luck with secretaries in the past so he didn’t hold out much hope when Sirius hired him a new one. Severus Snape was surprisingly competent, albeit very sarcastic. The fact that he didn’t seem interesting in Harry at all, though, only piqued Harry’s curiosity more.
“Still,” he said, “I’m grateful for your work with this. It’s been a big help.”
Severus harrumphed. “If that is all.” With that he left, and Harry tried to concentrate on writing a report of the accounts for his meeting with the board of directors the next morning. He kept getting distracted thinking about his new secretary though. Severus was, on the surface, very abrasive, but Harry had a feeling he could actually be very sweet. He had an urge to try to bring out that sweet side, even though he found he quite liked Severus’ snark.
