Summary
Wild sighs, rolling out his shoulders with a wince. He stands, hands above his head in a stretch to try and pull some of the ache out of his body. He spins slowly, dropping his arms to fold them across his chest at the interruption.
Twilight looks utterly unimpressed with him. The broken branch still lays under the heel of his boot. It looks intentional— it probably was. Twilight opens his mouth, but Wild gets their first.
"Slates running low, its fair game."
Twilight raises an eyebrow at him. Wild curls in on himself a little, only because the cold feels like its burrowing into his bones, not any other reason. There's a little spark of guilt in the back of his gut, which is ridiculous because the slate is actually running low and he's not actually doing anything wrong.

Link shivered beneath a blanket, arms huddled in close to this chest. He was half sure he was dreaming. His head ached, heavy like an overstuffed turkey. The green glow did not help. Hylian faces looked alien in this light, escaping the grasp of familiarity. He watched them for a moment longer, hoping the old man would be there among them. Then, self-pitying in his failure to find him, he let his head loll back against the pillow with a groan.
The pillow that shifted beneath him, to his mild alarm. A rumble of laughter met his ears, vibrating against his skin.
“Had a good nap?” came the old man’s voice, soft and amused.
Oh. There he was.

She forces a smile back, stares into those features so very like her own, and turns one more page.
"This is them, the first King and Queen. The first Hyruleans, technically, if you believe the legends."
The words Zelda and Link seem to jump off the page, twisting and wrapping around Link and Zelda both like a vice grip, a bind, lashing them together.

Summary
Again, the "off" feeling shivered through his whole body, and Time could just barely make out the details in the darkness. The way he walked, slow and somewhat uncomfortable; his posture hunched over and unmoving. And when he could make out his face, his eyes seemed to be barely open and his breathing seemed deep and difficult.
"Vet?" He tried again, gentler than he had been before. By now the boy had reached the couch, and chose to slump over and voluntarily lean on Wars —who was startled to say the least.
