Summary
“I'm so sorry,” Mike adds again.
“You didn't do it on purpose.”
“No, no, Will... I did it on purpose,” he murmurs. Even though it's dark, Will can tell he's looking right at him. “I wanted to do it.”
Will doesn't understand. It doesn't make sense. Carlton's words must have hurt him more than expected. They are very close, and neither of them seems willing to pull away from the other, even though they should.
“I don't understand.”
“I wanted to leave a mark on you,” says Mike, reaching out to touch that patch of skin. "I want... I want Carlton to see it and know it was me."
"Mike.”
"I want him to wonder why you let me do it,“ he adds, as if he can't help himself. "I want that for every time he touches you, he thinks about the fact that I can touch you too."Will is an art student, has a boyfriend, an ambiguous relationship with his roommate and childhood best friend, and a difficult past he has to come to terms with before finding his own truth.

Summary
“Shit, shit,” Will scrambles to the floor-length mirror he’d found propped up on a dumpster at the end of his Freshman year. He pulled at his sweater and fluffed his hair. “Coming!”
He trips over his feet rushing to get to the door, before freezing to glance at the tiny apartment. His sketchbooks are everywhere, his bed is unmade, and he hasn’t scooped Bowie’s litter box today. There isn’t time to do anything about it now.
Taking a calming breath in, he yanks open the door.
There, in his doorway with a giant goofy grin, stands Michael Wheeler.

Will is settling in Chicago, finishing up school, and dating. Mike is a college dropout on his 10th manuscript rejection with nothing to look forward to but Will's visits home. When Will cancels at the last minute, Mike impulsively shows up at his door. They adjust to old comforts and new discomforts, struggling to agree on what they are to each other.

Summary
“I’m not her Mike.” Will’s voice comes out barely a whisper, the distance between us so close that it feels as if I am breathing him in.
The sentence stings in my chest for a moment.
“I never wanted you to be.”
Or
The party reunites on a camping trip after two years of separation following El’s death. Max presents the crazy idea to take magical mushrooms in hopes of reconnecting back to their true selves that was lost in the grief.

Summary
After surviving monsters, mind flayers, and the Upside Down, the Party finally has time for something normal: weekly D&D.
What starts as harmless in-character banter between Tayr the Brave and Will the Wise turns into painfully obvious flirting, except neither of them realizes it’s real.
Everyone else at the table does, everyone else is suffering.Ancient magic, bad decisions, and one very ill-advised resurrection later, the line between game and reality disappears entirely.
